Funeral of Panchen Rinpoche, visit to the Great Lamasery of Samye and to Yarlung. He visits to Sakya & returns to India and explores ideas of social divisions, marriage, funerals, medicine & festivals. A tremendous work and travellogue.

De la Brune’s translation in turn was adapted from the Latin translation of Confucius’s Ta Hsueh, Chung Yung, and the Lun Yu by Intorcetta, Couplet, hertrich and Rougemont published in Paris in 1687. Connett III, of sailing in the Atlantic, Pacific and Gulf Coasts, the Great Lakes, the Mississippi River system as well as the lakes of the western United States and Canada. Thin vellum chipped at extremities, binding otherwise very good and overall a fresh and fine copy. First Edition of this collection of Greek epigrams, with tranlations into Latin by the author. The volume was dedicated to Louis XIV, and the allegorical frontispiece includes him enthroned, with Greece and Mercury on either side of him. The Epigrams are addressed to notable figures of the day including Louis XIV, Richelieu, Anne of Austria, etc. Apperantly a rare book with no copies at auction in 25 years, no copies in NUC.
