Statement: … [Trenton: 1867] quarto, two page circular, printed on a four page bi-folium, page three is taken upwith a manuscript note by Orcutt dated June 27, 1867, wherein he sends this copy of the circular to a Henry White, of New Haven, asking him to look it over prior to a planned meeting between each other. Formerly folded, docketed in ink on page four, else a very good, clean copy. The circular concerns a contested will, wherein an Eben Fairchild, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, left upon his decease in September of 1865, the balance of his estate, some sixty thousand dollars, to the American Colonization Society. The will was contested by one of the heirs, stating that Fairchild's late wife and the author of the circular Rev.
