Hutchinson, Aaron. Valour for the truth. In a sermon, for substance, preached in the Presbyteriancongregation at Newbury-Port, April 23d, 1767. . . . Published at the desire of the hearers. Boston: printed by W. M'Alpine, 1767. 26 pp. + a final leaf of printer's advertisements. 8vo, sewn, as issued. First edition. Hutchinson was the pastor of a church in Grafton. This sermon prompted a response from John Tucker, pastor of the First Church in Newbury, to which Hutchinson issued a reply. The leaf of ads at the end is for M'Alpine's shop in Marlborough Street, Boston: "Printing and binding performed . . . at the most reasonable rates, and best manner." A bit dog-eared, but a very good uncut copy, complete with the half-title; early signatures of Jonathan Greenleaf. Very scarce. Evans 10657; Sabin 34057.
