First edition of a rare and unrecorded account of a journey to explore the commercial possibilities of the Bermejo River. The journey lasted 11 months, the diary of the trip is reprinte here. The steamship was piloted by Capt. Thomas J. Page, who was familiar with the river on account of having gone up it before with a U. S. Government vessel in 1859.
