Each is bound in matching 3/4 leather with marbled endpapers, with maroon leather spine labels; spines with raised bands and gilt lettering/decoration. Front inner hinge of first volume is slightly weakened. Both volumes with minor rubbing to extremities; protected in stiff custom archival mylar. All of the edges of closed pages are decorated in yellow faux gilt. Title until page 92 (vol 1) lightly stained in upper corner. Occasional light pencil marginalia. Howes F200, listed as "2v in 1." Graff 1356, "two volumes bound together", and "The text of the second volume had not appeared previously." Mississippi, Americana. A handsome set in an attractive binding.
