The designs are described by their architects, who include Peter Behrens, Walter Gropius, Victor Bourgeois, Le Corbusier, Richard Döcker, Hans Scharoun, Ludwig Hilberseimer, J.J.P. Oud, Bruno and Max Taut, and Mies himself, who encouraged the International Style: cubic, flatroofed, light colored and minimalist.
