Printed on Alexander paper with top edge gilt, and other edges untrimmed. Previous owner's bookplate. 1263 copies printed. From Clark #140 "Flint went west as a missionary in 1815, first to Ohio and Kentucky, then to Missouri in 1816. He resigned as a missionary just three years later and traveled south, finally settling in Louisiana. He traveled widely, even into Spanish Texas. He was a writer and editor, authoring numerous works of considerable value, including "The Personal Narrative of James O. Pattie of Kentucky." Rader 2181.
