Brooke, Elizabeth Tilghman The Days of Sixty-Three
Philadelphia Printed for the Benefit of the Sanitary Commission 1864, Removed Fair 54 pp., 19 cm., removed from bound volume, lacks binding/wrappers, otherwise good, with a small ink mark on front endpaper. The former owner has inscribed in pencil over the title page the that the book was by Mrs. C. Wallace Brooke, who is in fact Elizabeth Tilghman Brooke, of the famous Rawle family of Philadelphia. Apparently printed for sale at the Great Central Fair for the United States Sanitary Commission held in Philadelphia. Nice piece of Civil War poetry by this 19th Century woman writer.
