Boston Printed for the Author 1838, Wrappers Good 24 pp., self wraps, stitched, some tanning, some wear to title page, with a couple of brown spots, wear at bottom margin, wear at cornes (dog-earred some). Neighbor Parley is Samuel Griswold Goodrich (1793-1860), who at this time held office in MA. Goodrich was the author of the chidren's series Peter Parley. This piece is apparently a response by "Neighbor Smith" to Goodrich's attacks. Written in a humorous fashion and pokes fun at Goodrich's Temperance stands.
