Racine, Wisconsin: Whitman, (1926). 16mo. Four delightful children's books in original box which isillustrated in full color by Hildegarde Blumenstie. The books are: THE BUNNY AND THE PORCUPINE, PETER FOX FINDS A NEW HOME, OLD ROLY POLY BEAR VISITS HIS COUSINS , and SUNNY BUNNY HEARS GOOD NEWS. Each book is bound in a different color of "Artistic Cloth #725", patterned calico over boards. Each with color cover illustrations. Textual illustrations in two colors by H. Boylston Dummer. The box is quite worn, but complete, with one of the box top flaps detached and laid-in. The books themselves are fresh and bright in their cheerful cotton bindings of yellow, red, purple and turquoise. An appealing and very scarce set.
