The first a history of the Columbia Hall and Rink, built in 1885 and burned in the riot of 1900. The second part is the history of the Assembly Hall and Rink, 1870 - 1901. Quine was a local amateur historian- he once would probably have been called an "antiquary"-who wrote several monographs on old Akron and published them at his own expense as gifts for his friends.
