Many are written in Sandburg's notable abbreviated style, and contain hand- written corrections and insertions, deletions (including entire paragraphs), etc. There are several pages pertaining to Sandburg's early use of Swedish as a small boy (pp. 22-24 in the published text); 2 pages on C.W. Williamson's racetrack in Galesburg, which "put Galesburg on the map for horsemen and horse lovers over the whole country ...", passages on Lombard College, Peoria, Illinois, the Sutherland Sisters, and much else of clearly intended for Sandburg's autobiography 4to and small fragments.
