Summer Arrangment 1869", a receipt from "Jefferson House" hotel at Watkins; and with a bound extract from Harpers magazine from June 1871, entitled "The Watkins Glen ... by Porte Crayon, Grace Greenwood and Others", with wood-engraved frontispiece (leaves folded to size) The third title, ELLS, M. Descriptive Guide Book of The Watkins Glen, with original photos, was revised and reprinted numerous times throught the next two decades -- but this first edition is EXCEEDINGLY RARE -- the only copy located through online catalogues being at Cornell (NEW YORK, SENECA LAKE) First editions. 12mo. [8], [13]-46 pp.; 80 pp; 58 [of 65] pp., (lacking last 4 leaves of ads); and 18 pp., respectively. Third title (Descriptive Guide Book of The Watkins Glen) illustrated with 5 MOUNTED ALBUMEN PRINTS from photographs of Watkins Glen, each with printed captIon on the mount. Nineteenth-century half green morocco and marbled boards and endpapers, marbled edges. Beautiful copy, from the library of J.B. VOORHEES of Brooklyn. .
