Crosby & Co.,1808, first edition, small octavo, xviii, 530pp., plus 32 unnumbered pages of type samples, 15pp. index, and directions to the binder, 7 engravings, many other illustrations in the text. A worn, soiled and waterstained copy internally, but of interest because it was the copy of E.O.Pike of 200 Mulberry Street, New York City, a charter member of Typographical Union # 6, with his signature on a blank leaf. There is also a later (1929) presentation inscription. Recently resewn with new headbands and new endpapers, and recased in marbled paper on boards with a gilt-stamped morocco spine title label.
