A fine copy, clean and unworn. From the Connoisseur Series of Books for Collectors edited by C. Reginald Grundy. A brief glimpse at the culture and traditions of rural England in the 18th century. Monochrome illustrations are mostly of artifacts of the period, color plates are after paintings by Gainsborough , Rowlandson, et al, and chromos after Westall, Morland, and Ward.
